Request an article by completing this online form or by selecting the Scan and Send button that appears in the Catalogue record.
Library staff will retrieve the item, scan it and then send the article to you electronically via email.

Borrowing a printed book located in Mills, Innis, Thode or Health Sciences libraries on the Hamilton campus.
Request a book from the Hamilton campus by completing this online form.
Library staff will retrieve the book from the stacks and send it to the Concierge Desk at RJC using the shuttle bus or to your home address using Canada Post. When the item is due, return the book(s) to the library using the Book Return bin located in the RJC lobby or use the accompanying prepaid label to return the book to the main campus. If you require a book within a sensitive timeline, please visit the main campus libraries in person to retrieve and borrow the item.
The Bibliaff Lending Library Collection is a collection of books we borrow on a monthly basis, with new titles coming in every month. The list of currently available books is on our Bibliaff inventory page. If you have any suggestions or ideas for new books, please email rjclib@mcmaster.ca.
Obtaining course materials from your instructors.
Most course content will be delivered to you through Avenue to Learn, the university’s learning management system.
Some course materials are available for short term loans (2 hours) at the Ron Joyce Centre Concierge Desk. Ask at the concierge desk for further information.
NOTE: Follow up with your instructor directly to confirm the location of course materials.

Request your interlibrary loan item using RACER.
If you are looking for a book, we will attempt to purchase it in electronic format, then send you the link. When that is not possible, we will borrow the book for you from another institution. When the book arrives, it can be picked up and returned at the Mills Memorial Library Service Desk (1st floor). If you are looking for an article, we will arrange to have it delivered to you electronically via email.
