Ron Joyce Centre: Notice of construction

On May 4th the Teaching Commons area, located in the southwest corner of the 3rd floor, will be closed off to initiate the reconfiguration project of constructing two enclosed Kinesiology research lab offices. The approved plans allow for a smaller open study area to remain upon completion of this reconfiguration. T.R. Hinan Contractors Inc. is the assigned general contractor for this project.

We ask that everyone (students, staff, faculty and visitors) be vigilant while in the building during this period and exercise additional caution while passing by, or in the vicinity of the work zone on the third floor.

Construction is scheduled to begin May 4, 2015 and the anticipated completion date is June 15, 2015.

Elevator Access during Construction Demolition

During the initial demolition/construction phase, (month of May), one elevator will be dedicated to contractor use only – with the exception being for emergency back-up if/as required.
