Fire Alarms

The fire alarm at the Ron Joyce Centre sounds like a continuous pulsating tone.

In the event of a fire alarm at the RJC, please evacuate the building immediately through the closest fire exit door. Do not use the elevators. A secondary staircase, which descends directly to the outside of the building, is located at the north end of the building on the second and third floors.

Once outside, congregate at the north side of the building (adjacent to Highway 403) and wait for additional instructions from either the responding emergency service personnel or the on-site Black and McDonald staff. Keep entrance ways, access ways and the roadway clear. Do not re-enter the building until the “all clear” signal is given.
